Craft Roulette Challenge

My entry to another Friday Craft Roulette Challenge from MaryGunnFunn.com.

Parameters were card with a ribbon, glass or jar,
colors were red,  yellow and blue and crinkle inkle

Crinkle inkle is just wadded up paper or tissue and used as a dauber. That is what you see on my background. I used a wadded up tissue and dabbed it in blue and then red. CASE' d the idea from Pinterest but because of the parameters, it took a different turn.

Hope you like it and don't forget to check out Craft Roulette , Fridays at 5:30pm MT on Facebook.

Cards from spare kits!

Continuing to make cards from extra kits I had left over from convention!  See what you can do with just one stamp set and extra paper! The stamp set I used was from My Creative Time called Just one Note.

Used Craft On Rubber Shapes for Embellishments on the first and second card

Used Wood Hearts for an accent!

More accents from Craft On Rubber Shapes and retired silver trim tape, you can substitute with any ribbon or trim you may have

Accents are from the Wood Buttons and colored with the Red Shimmer Brush and the leaves were from a retired kit but there is another wood embellishments that have leaves called Happiness Lives Here you can substitute with!

Hope you are inspired to use your scrapes or kits that you have not worked on in awhile!

5 Cards, One stamp set and Scrap Paper

I have been going through all my craft supplies and came across unfinished kits that were from convention from a few years ago. I decided to challenge myself to do something with them and with one stamp set. The stamp set is called You're My Jam  but you can certainly use any stamp set you have. I got 5 cards out of the extra's and with some old sequins and enamel dots which I colored with alcohol markers to match the paper colors this is what I came up with.

Nice and simple! Cards don't have to be complicated! So give it a try. Lets use up our surplus supplies.

Craft Roulette Returns!

Friday's Craft Roulette challenge was project : card with a circle; orange plus two colors; element was plants and random was stencils.  Here is what I came up with.

I used a circle stencil so that took care of the 2 items and I used Nectarine ink; Fern ink; Grape ink.

I watercolor with the inks to color the plants so the colors are lighter than normal.

I left the gnome white except for the flowers because there was too much color going on.

Well I hope you like it!

Another Friday Card Challenge

It's that time again for another Friday Card Challenge from Craft Roulette. The perimeters were 6x6 card; pastel colors; best friends and foil or metallic paper!

It was difficult since I don't do a lot of pastels and 6x6 cards.  Well, here it is:

Used Z3373 School Kids Stamp and Die set which is on clearance in my store. A retired set Z3722 Here and There which had the arrows and sayings. Tried my hand at water coloring with Wisteria and Pixie (retired) ink but Ballerina would be a good replacement. Some handmade enamel dots and Gold Foil Paper Z3365 and we are good to go.
