Craft Roulette Challenge #53

This weeks challenge was a 5x7 card, blue plus 2 colors, balloons as the element and random was colored pencils. Here is what I came up with!

I used the Winter Penguins Stamp and die set; Party Time Paper Packet; Lemonade Cardstock; the balloons came from a retired set but any balloon stamp or die you have would work. The colored pencils were used to color the balloons and present that the penguin is holding. I put some shimmer brush on the balloons but it is hard to see in the photo.

I love how it turned out!  Hope this inspires you to keep crafting! Cards don't have to be complicated!

March 12 Craft Roulette Challenge

This past Friday's challenge was hard for me!  The project was a window card...colors were purple plus 2...element was garden and random was kraft or tan paper.  Well I certainly gave them purple!

I used a retired stamp set and the Window thin cuts that is still available in my store. The embossing folder I used on the kraft paper is from Stampin Up but not sure if it is available.

Easter Bridge Card

I learned a new card technique the other day called a Bridge card.  Here is what I came up with!

I used the paper from the NEW Daisy Meadows Paper Packet and a retired stamp set. The flower is from a new kit I got from Gina K designs called Forever Flowers. I used Ranger Peacock Feathers Distress Oxide ink and Mustard Seed Distress Oxide which Close to My Heart started selling for the flower. The leaves are colored with Peeled Paint Distress Oxide.

I think it turned out cute!

March 5 Craft Roulette Challenge

Craft Roulette challenge this past Friday was Card with a flap; Spring Colors; element is Dog and random is book page.  I was going to use my new waterfall die from CTMH but someone already posted on Facebook their entry using it so I had to devise something else.  I used the multi circle window die and made it into a flap. I only had small dog stamp set called Little Buddies and a retired set I think was called Punny Pals to use so that worked out great. I didn't have a book I would even think to tear a page out (sacrilegious) and I did not have a magazine so I used pattern paper that had words on it. Everything is up for interpretation.  Hope you like it!

Thanks for stopping by! Hope to see your cards on the next challenge. It is fun to see all the interpretations.

Special Thank You Card

I created a special thank you card for a local place that volunteered to do the Covid vaccine shot to the 65+ last month. I was not sure I was going to get the shot because I do not get the normal flu shots every year.  So when I decided, it was not to be found anywhere.  Then surprisingly a new location announced they were going to distribute it, so I went for it. They were so organized and it was fast and painless.  When I got the shot that is! My arm was sore the day after but they did warn it might be so I was ready for it.  They deserve to get a special thank you for volunteering their time.

So don't forget to thank our first responders and the medical profession for all they do!

More ways to use Picture My Life Cards !

Have you ever thought what would you ever do with the Picture My Life cards other then scrapbooking with them?  Well let me show you what I have done!

Using retired leftover mats for the background and then on the left card I used 2 of the Picture my Life cards from the retired set called Feels like Home.  I cut down the wonderful saying card and matted it with the grey card from the kit. Stamped and embossed friend on it and set it off with sequins.  The one on the right I used a card that came from the same Picture my Life set that had a flower on it.  It was on a journaling mat so I just cut it out, yes I fussy cut, and placed it on the card. I think they turned out pretty good!

The next one I cut down a mat with a design on it that was in the same set and then used another one after cutting it down that had the flag banners on it and stamped Happy Birthday and stars on it. The stamp set I used is from the core catalog called Wishing you Everything Z3779. I also used our watercolor pencils to spruce up the HAPPY sentiment. Add some bling and your done!

I hope this has inspired you!
