Candy Holder
Thanks to a friend, Karla McCully, who last year made a cute candy holder for her card making class attendees, I am now finally attempted to make one on my own. It really was very easy! I hope to share this with the Paper Arts Club we have in our community. Inside stamp sentiment is from Spooky Sayings stamp set from Cardz TV Stamps.
Here is what Karla had done:

ShinHan Touch Alcohol Twin Markers
Practicing with our new CTMH ShinHan twin alcohol markers coming out in August. Check my website out for the new catalog in August. Coloring in stamped images are not my strong suit but I am trying. Practice...Practice...Practice.....
Start by using good ink that won't run like StazOn Ink Pad or Memento Fade Resistant Dye Ink. For paper I used Georgia Pacific 110 lb cardstock. Have not tried CTMH White Daisy Cardstock yet . Will update at a later time. Practice...Practice...Practice....

Gatefold Shutter Card
Found a video on YouTube on a different style of a Gatefold Shutter Card. I thought I would give it a try. Very easy to do, just had to change the size of the inside mat a little larger because I used thin pattern paper and when it came to cut the circle out it wasn't very stable. I used a stamp set that will be in the new CTMH catalog coming August 1. Let me know if you want the new catalog or check my website out on August 1. Card base is from the CTMH Exclusive Lagoon Paper Pack X5762.
Other products used: Stamp set "Going In Circles" from Cardz TV Stamps; Wink of Stella Clear Pen; Ink used Strawberry Slush, Gumball Green and Summer Starfruit from Stampin' Up. Sizzix Butterfly stamp and die cut set #657773. Gems and paper from personal stash.

Pop-Up Box Card
Well here is another pop-up box card. I made it for our granddaughter who has been in swimming competitions and she qualified for the championship round in backstroke. Can't wait until tonight for the results....So I just had to make her a card to congratulate her on her accomplishments. This is only her 2nd year swimming, she has outdone herself.
Used the stamp set from CTMH Cricut Artiste Collection and misc stickers found at Michaels.

Pop-up Card or Card In A Box
Hope everyone had a great 4th of July! I was able to do some card-making and I attempted a card in a box or pop-up card. I found a tutorial on Splitcoaststampers and had fun trying it. After I made it, I discovered it only fit in a 6x9 envelope. I then found a video on YouTube to make a standard size A2 card. Then since I could not find anything on a card to fit a 5x7 A7 envelope, I worked on those measurements myself. A lot of trial and error but finally I think I got it. Still have to decorate them but here is how they turned out.

Christmas In July
Happy 4th of July!!!! Can't believe its July already.
So let's get started on Christmas. LOL!
Well actually I am trying another project to present to our community Paper Arts Club and I decided my samples would be a Christmas theme to get a jump start on my own cards. I got this idea from another blogger, Deb Valder. You will find her directions on her site. This is using one 6x6 sheet of pattern paper to create 6 cards. I modified a little since some of the orientation of my cards were different. I also should have watched the direction of the pattern when cutting the pieces out following her pattern, but I think I did pretty well. What a great way to make fast and simple elegant cards. Products used were mainly Stampin Up stamp sets and paper. I am new to Close to my Heart and do not have many Christmas stamp sets yet. The new catalog, coming out in August, has some wonderful sets I can't wait to share with you all. I did use CTMH Ink Pad (Slate). It matched the color in the patterned paper perfectly. One card does have a stamp used from CTMH, but it is not available anymore. I believe I got it from a CTMH consultant participating in a scrapbook convention. If you are interested in any Close To My Heart products please check out my site. Thank you for stopping by!
