3 great cards using different techniques!
Took a class today at my friend, Cheryl Goode's house. Came out with 3 outstanding cards. One was a technique using a mask or stencil and inked our design on the card mat. That technique was such a coincidence because I just saw yesterday a YouTube about using stencils or masks and was going to try it out for our club project. I think I am going to love this! Of course hers turned out so much better but as I always say, It's a one of a kind!!! The lines are the mask we used and we used daubers to place the two different color inks. Everyone's turned out different!
The second card we did, we used a stamp set that imitates brush strokes and after stamping them on watercolor paper, we spritzed with water and then brushed some of the ink on the the blank spots.
The third and last card was what she called a cupcake challenge. We embossed only part of the mat and then used daubers to put some color on the blank side. Used green ribbon to give a separation between the embossed side and blank side. There should be a bow but I am not very good with those so I just tied a knot. Used her cupcake stamp set and die set for the cupcake and then I added sequins. The reason she called it the cupcake challenge was whoever did the best design got a prize. Well I won but it was a close call. It came between two of us and we had to call out a number between 1 and 10 and I guessed right. Thank you Cheryl for a great afternoon!!!

Arizona Greeting Card
Stumbled upon a cute little paper arts store here locally called The Paper Collage. They carry unusual items that you would certainly not find at the common stores. Of course, I could not leave without buying something. Here is one of the stamp sets I bought and the card made using it.
Used my Cricut cartridge called Southwest for the sun and cactus landscape. Embossing folder called Charles and dusted it lightly with Stampin Up Bashful Blue ink.

Scrapbook Expo 2014
Wow..what a day I had Friday. Went to Scrapbook Expo in Mesa and what fun! I took 3 classes and learned a lot and saw a lot of new tools or should I say toys. The first workshop I took was making four cards for Christmas using Spellbinders dies. I loved all the dies we used but did restrain myself from buying them all.
They did however come out with a new tool that I just could not go without. We used it in the workshop and works really great.
The second workshop was coloring techniques and they gave us 6 Spectrum Noir Markers and practice sheets. They explained different ways to coloring and also had us use colored pencils and showed different ways to use them. Of course since I found the pencils easier to use then the markers I just had to buy some.....So look out Paper Arts Club, guess what we will be playing with. We can learn together.
The 3rd workshop was just about all the new tools that came out or going to come out this year and early next year. We got a bag full of products and guess what? They had the new spellbinder tool in it so now I have two. Can't have too many. Also received the new We R Memories Keepers Flower Punch Board and a flower stem kit. Excited to play with that.
So many tools and not enough time.....LOL...
