Took a class today at my friend, Cheryl Goode's house. Came out with 3 outstanding cards. One was a technique using a mask or stencil and inked our design on the card mat. That technique was such a coincidence because I just saw yesterday a YouTube about using stencils or masks and was going to try it out for our club project. I think I am going to love this! Of course hers turned out so much better but as I always say, It's a one of a kind!!! The lines are the mask we used and we used daubers to place the two different color inks. Everyone's turned out different!
The second card we did, we used a stamp set that imitates brush strokes and after stamping them on watercolor paper, we spritzed with water and then brushed some of the ink on the the blank spots.
The third and last card was what she called a cupcake challenge. We embossed only part of the mat and then used daubers to put some color on the blank side. Used green ribbon to give a separation between the embossed side and blank side. There should be a bow but I am not very good with those so I just tied a knot. Used her cupcake stamp set and die set for the cupcake and then I added sequins. The reason she called it the cupcake challenge was whoever did the best design got a prize. Well I won but it was a close call. It came between two of us and we had to call out a number between 1 and 10 and I guessed right. Thank you Cheryl for a great afternoon!!!
Thanks for stopping by!
Happy Crafting!
