Summer break is coming soon for the Paper Arts Club in our community, but I still could not resist doing one last card for this year. I got the idea from Mary at CardzTV . I love her stamps which she designs. They go so nicely with the Cricut Cartridges. How she comes up with these ideas are amazing. I just don't think outside the box. I never would have thought to us Elegant Edges cartridge and make a card base from it. I definitely will have to re-look at my cartridges differently. Maybe that can be my project for the summer! Ha! Ha! Like I have time!!!!! I did have to change the size of the card base using the Cricut Explore machine. So here goes my version!
Hope you like it...

Mother's Day Card and Birthday Card for Club
Happy Everything Day! We are having wonderful weather here today! Suppose to only go up to 74 degrees. Love having the windows opens and enjoying the fresh air. There is none of that when summer comes!
With Mother's Day coming up May 10th, thought I would do a card but it could also be a Birthday card. I used the papers from CTMH Taste of Summer Paper Pack that will be available for May's National Scrapbooking Month. Used the stamp from Holiday Tags D1560 for the sentiment. There is a Happy Birthday that will work also in the set. Used Thistle Exclusive Ink Stamp Pad Z2640 and Silver Shimmer Trim Z1799. Used washi tape found in my stash for the purple chevron. I think I may add some white enamel dots on some of the lemon slices on the green background but not sure yet. Let me know what you think!
The next card is a birthday card using Feather Stamp set C1584. I have been wanting to use this for a awhile and saw a similar card on Pinterest but not sure who's. Also used a retired set Happy Hexagon Stamp set but you could use the Honeycomb Stamp Set C1537. The Happy Birthday was from Guy Greetings from Stampin Up. Buttons and twine from my stash and Sequins Gold Assortment Z2012 and voila!

Sunburst Card
I had some time today to play in my craft room, so I decided to attempt a sunburst card that my up-line Joy at Close to My Heart had a tutorial on. Check her video out on her blog. Here is my version. I used the paper sampler set that came with my consultant starter kit which is now expired, for my pattern pieces. The card base is Ponderosa Pine cardstock which I think matched the pattern paper just right. Also used White Daisy cardstock for the mats, not sure where the bottom brown cardstock came from since it was in my paper stash. I did not have a sentiment big enough for the front so I used a set from Stampin Up called Guy Greetings which I got from my friend Cheryl and used the CTMH Cocoa Exclusive Ink. When you watch Joy's video you will see she used twine and made a bow but with my card since it turned out a masculine type card I found some green twine and just wrapped it around with no bow. I felt something did need to go there. I decided maybe we can do the sunburst card as project for our community club. We will see! Let me know what you think of my version!
